Forgotten sinew. 2024.

The pigeons are always on the lookout for a familiar face and in Jacob they find one. Like a worn wooden statue, looking out and looking in, he catches quickly and then looses them back with slowly opened hands.
Jacob loved the pigeons and would kiss them good luck. Like busy parents on a schoolday morning thoughtlessly sending us on with an easy blessing. We survive somehow.
A friend told me about doves and pigeons being the same. This same friend then told me about doves in the bible. I spoke about frescos having never seen them. Bible scenes of divine lights, cherubs and pigeons.
I think about all the birds that will never be held and if a choral choir would sing for them. 4 minutes.
